“We love nature. We love light. We make art.”

Based in Germany, Dorothee and Friedrich van Schoor collaborate under the name Glowing Atoms.
Their artistic practice is inspired by the natural beauty and subtle poetry of the world around them. In their works, they combine diverse techniques – from site-specific light installations and video projections to 2D and 3D animations – creating immersive experiences that merge technology and emotion.

Both artists hold a background in Media Art & Design, where they developed their distinctive visual language at the intersection of digital media and physical space.

Before founding Glowing Atoms, Friedrich presented his work under the name 3hund. Dorothee has worked as a visual artist for theatre productions and for various companies in the fields of interactive and experience design, as well as a media designer specializing in film and animation.
